With excellent transmission from 200 nm in the ultraviolet through 8.5 microns in the infrared this MgF2 UV grade extended range UHV viewport is mounted on a 304 stainless steel 4.50 inch Conflat flange. For safe viewing while the primary MgF2 window is not in service it is available with a transparent 6mm thick polycarbonate safety cover. It is also available with a protective anodized aluminum cap for greater thermal uniformity during bake-out. Both the clear safety cover and anodized aluminum protective cap mate with the SM2 Lens Tube System*.
